Birthing STAT in 2020 with the support of Leigh’s Turnpike gallery, Pete is STAT‘s founder, designer and editor, and is based in Leigh, Lancashire. Besides STAT, Pete is a designer and writer, currently studying architecture. Interested in the built environment, Pete’s work covers post-industry, modernism and the radical left. Pete prints, binds and posts every copy of STAT.
George Francis Lee
COMMISSIONING EDITOR
George is STAT’s commissioning editor. That means he reads everything you send in (everything). He is also responsible for foraging interesting stories for our readers, whether they be in Morecambe or Macclesfield, Blackburn or Bolton. If you’ve even the smallest inkling of a story or interesting article in your head, this man wants to hear it. Based in Accrington, George likes Wallace and Gromit, anti-Manchester sentiment, and obscure Lancashire towns.
Phoebe Verity
MERSEYSIDE CO-ORDINATOR
Born in Liverpool and swiftly ferried over to the dark side of the Mersey, Birkenhead-based creative Phoebe is writing poetry, illustrating, and moving text 1px to the left to cope with yet another pizza chain buying out a beloved local independent store. Phoebe forages us seaside scoops, happenings and talented peeps either side of that Mersey river and up towards Blackpool’s bright lights.
Connor James Seed
EAST LANCS. CO-ORDINATOR
Connor Seed is a writer from Clitheroe, living in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. Connor writes surreal fiction where the Weird and folkloric meet the urbane. He has previously been published in Ambit POP and Words from the Water. Connor traverses the great hills of Lancashire from whence he came, all in an attempt to find tomorrow’s freakiest album or folk ritual.
